I flirted with the idea of creating a webcomic for several years, but I can't draw. That is to say, I am physically capable of picking up a writing instrument and marking on paper to produce images, but said images would not satisfy even the most accepting of viewers, and xkcd already called dibs on stick figures.
Two years later, the idea came to me (by way of someone else saying "Hey, you know what would be cool?") to use Microsoft Office Clipart images for a webcomic. Little did I know at the time, "clipart webcomics" are a real and common thing, but now, ladies and gentlemen, it's literal.
The Adventures of Clip and Art is my first foray into the wonderful world of webcomics. It tells of the exploits of two cohabiting friends, Mr. Clipman and Cybart (Clip and Art for short, respectively), whose only dream is to build a spaceship and fly the cosmos. Updates every Wednesday for now. I may eventually feel comfortable updating more often.
Clip and Art is the dictionary definition of "trial by fire." Someday, when I feel I have learned all I can from it, I would like to start another webcomic, perhaps with original art from someone who actually knows what they're doing. For now, though, enjoy The Adventures of Clip and Art, and please don't hesitate to leave feedback, no matter how harsh; it's the only way I'll know how to grow.
