The Adventures of Clip and Art #5

Priorities
Five strips woo-hoo! Now that I feel comfortable enough with this whole webcomic thing, I have officially decided on an update schedule. One strip a week, every Wednesday, with a possible Screen Bean Theatre strip on Saturday. That should also help my wicked time management issues; I might just be able to finish Kingdom Hearts: Birth By Sleep this year.

  1. Hilarious. I love that the light bulb has been replaced by another briefcase.

  2. DUDE! Stay away from Comic Sans - it ruins EVERYTHING! I like that you assigned Clip a straighter, slimmer font to match his "voice" of the dry, straightman.

Not sure what I think about the speech bubbles, yet - I have the same fear of them taking away from the graphics so my thoughts are subjective and would not help you, there.

I'd like to see a font size that's in the middle - a little smaller than this size but a bit bigger than what you started with. (If possible)

First rule of any comics: Flow, Writing then the Art. Not that it makes me happy as an illustrator. I think you're doing fairly well with that, though!

  3. Gah! I had hoped using Comic Sans would come across as a sort of tongue-in-cheek design choice, but it might really be as offensive a font as the consensus would indicate.

I'm still ironing out the kinks of font size and readability; speech bubbles are definitely a big help, but they aren't the sole solution. Maybe the strips as wholes need sizing overhauls.

Thank you so much for reading and commenting! This is exactly the kind of feedback I need.
